31 December 2013 Production Diary

Tonight we also have another group meeting online. It's tiring, but I have no choice, because we need to think of idea and concept before our next class when semester study break end.

However, after a throughout discussion, we finally decided to do a installation about social media identities. We will focus on how social media identity is important to us and how to prevent ourselves being harm by social identities. 30 December 2013 Production Diary

Is my semester study break, but in the end I need to rush for my assignments also. Tonight, my group done a online meeting to discuss about our installation concept. One of my group mates actually suggest us to consider the implementation of light and dark in a spatial room.

During the meeting, we also take our time to look for projection mapping ideas and other expert's project for inspiration. About the problem we want to solve with our installation, I actually suggested that we can do a installation on promoting saving electricity, for example how to conserve the energy.

Some of my group mates also suggested some interesting ideas such as real and virtual identity of social media and interactive story telling.

18 December 2013 Production Diary

Today we have formed our group by using sortition method. It's the most random group formation method I ever seen. After the random drawing, I was in group with other 3 future group-mates, Jeremy, Carmen and Shireen. I was quite happy with the result because I never grouped with all of them before, so I feel a bit excited for our future team working.

After group formation, we was asked to chose and analyse the topics. After having some brief understanding about the project, I have suggested projection mapping to my group-mates. After looked through the installation art books from Shahnim, my lecturer as inspiration while discussing the chosen topic, we finally decided to create a projection mapping installation.

We also need to distribute leader roles among ourself. I have been assigned to be technical leaders, which is totally a new experience to me. In addition, I am assistant to logistic leader and content leader too. After all the introduction and group formation, we headed to IIS room and Jazmi, another lecturer started to introduce the equipments we can loan during our installation production. Before we leave, we also selected Carmen as our group leader.
